MOLD CAN BE FOUND IN MANY AREAS OF YOUR HOME.
Steps to take if you think you may have a mold problem in your home. ( These steps are also included with our Mold Inspection) 1. Assess the risk. (Does anyone in your home have allergies, Asthma, HIV, or any immune deficiency, and the ages of the occupants). a. Check for any leaks in roof or foundation. b. Windows collecting mold or moisture? c. Age of the home and HVAC? d. Age and condition of carpeting. (especially in high traffic doorways etc...) e. Age and condition of furniture. f. Bathroom Ventilation? g. Leaky pipes, drains, etc... 2. Visibly check for mold. a. Look around your home and see if you actually see visible mold. Use a flashlight for those dark hard to reach places. b. Look for sources of moisture. c. Be aware of musty odors. See if you can sniff them out. 3. If you discover mold and you find a small patch, try to clean it up using a product such as Clorox Outdoor. Regular bleach does not get rid of mold. What bleach does is make the mold go clear. Basically MOLD is SMART! It will disguise itself from Bleach alone. 4. Call us for a MOLD INSPECTION. This is the only way you can be sure what type of mold you have and what sort of infestation may be taking place.
